The in-line arrangements of eccentric collar bearings can be easily altered to both decrease or increase height to the alignment rows of bearings, depending on your requirements. This means that loading can be spread much more easily across the line of the bearings, ultimately reducing service requirements and the need for very precise or uniform machining of housing components.
Bearings can be easily locked in place using a locknut, however if there is a need for more positive ways of securing the bearing in place, then a dowel drilled through the housing that meets the bush would be a more suitable means of fastening.
