The Hannover MDA (Motion, Drives and Controls) exhibition is held every 2 years in Hannover, Germany. The 2015 show attracted over 6500 exhibitors from 70 countries which allowed them to showcase their products and services to the 220 000 people that visited the show this year. An amazing 70 000 visitors attended from outside of Germany making it the fastest growing Global exhibition for Motion, Drives and Automation.
Carter Manufacturing Limited was in attendance at the show for the 3rd time located in the main bearing Hall 22, stand B32-1. Show visitors were interested by the comprehensive range of specialist bearing products on show at the Carter Manufacturing Stand. The products generated an unprecedented level of enquiries and enthusiasm, especially the newer technologies such as the large Silverthin 40” Super Precision Thin Section Bearing on display at the front of the stand.
Silverthin precision thin section bearings are manufactured in the United States and conform the strict regulations set out under the Berry amendment. They are available in standard configurations, sealed and unsealed, up to 40 inches in diameter. Standard bearings are stocked or in production to meet customer short lead time requirements. Special bearings are engineered and manufactured up to 40 inches in diameter, some from special materials and coatings to serve the needs of our diverse customer base.

Silverthin Precision Thin Section Bearings are often used in Hi-Tech equipment and machinery where compact designs and ease of maintenance is key such as rotary polishing equipment, X-ray – MRI, rotary pipe cutting equipment, rotary welding equipment etc. For The bearing width and section (distance from bore to outside diameter) in each series remain constant regardless of the change in bore diameter.
